I was at my friend Candy Susan‘s house for a holiday party the other night and found these goodies just a-waiting to be eaten. Susan is one of the sweetest people I know, so it’s only fitting that she is the Candy Lady.
I found this poor lonely fudge in the kitchen at work this morning. So sad that treats lose their humanity in the office and are savagely eaten!
What homemade treats do you share with coworkers at this time of year?
Seen plastered on something in DC. My beautiful girlfriend hates candy corn but we are making it work anyway.
I just got to work and found some candy apples in the kitchen. That’s right – even though I no longer work at the candy association (for which my hearts longs every day), I still have a good supply of office candy.
It’s candy apple season, to be sure. Autumn’s return last week ushered in cool weather, which reminds me of the smell of apple harvest in upstate New York, where I lived for a few years and in Massachusetts, where I spent entirely too many years. The smell is sweet and delicious, a light scent that wafts gently on the cool, damp air, mixing with wood fires and the smell of leaf piles in yards.
So much comes back to me in the form of candy apples. What are your associations with this treat?
